André-Carl Vachon holds a master’s degree in Acadian History from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (2018) and has been a Certified Genealogist (MGA) since 2023. In addition to contributing to five collective works, he has authored 16 books, including a children’s picture book, Religions, and 14 books on Acadian history, among them a young adult novel. He is also a columnist for L’Ancêtre magazine.
Since 2014, he has received 22 awards and distinctions, including the Acadie-Québec Award (2015), the Morne-Rouge Medal (Martinique, 2017), the France-Acadie Award (2018), and was named honorary president of the Dieppe (New Brunswick) Book Fair in 2020. He also served as historical consultant for Evangeline – The Musical (2025)
